Going to a Conan taping is always fun. For today I made signs for Jimmy Pardo, the warm up comedian, and the Basic Cable Band. One of the music guys who was tuning up the guitars saw my sign for the BCB and gave us guitar picks! Jimmy enjoyed his sign and made some riffs. He gave me his guest line up card when he was done. And when the band came out, the horn section loved their sign, too. Made me happy, showing them some love.
The show was great, and also got to see a pre-tape segment for Thursday’s show. At the end my brother and I got handshakes, getting closer to that hug!
This is the second time I brought a CAndy hug request sign, and Conan always reads and looks at it weird. I think next time (our 10th visit!) I’ll make a regular hug request.
Gotta love being first. Shooting for a third time in a week!
